I have recently acquired km5, although, the sucker has red spots on the leaves, the psuedostem color seems to match and is also showing the black discoloration of the mature plants.
It has a tan to lime green colored stem, with touches of pink. But unike the Lady finger varieties, it lacks the deep greens. The red spots on the leaves are also not as dark as the Cavendish varieties.
The stems begin to turn black over-time from sun exposure, but nothing like black thai. The black discolorations look like rubbing marks or streaks, but not the brown spotting like Cavendish.
