Mark, I thought you were referring to Musella lasiocarpa in your title. What species of banana are you talking about?
Variegates are just as rare here as over there. The variegated Dwarf Namwah 'Pearl' has become readily obtainable, and AeAe can be found frequently, but others are very scarce.
