Default Re: New "cigar" leaf looks dead. ?

I have the same problem with a Superdwarf Hi-Color Mini:

I think I may have left it outside too long (leaves were shrivelling a bit) but I brought it in for the winter a couple of months ago.

It was rather viciously attacked by spider mites. I cleared these (I think) but the stuff I used to clear them burnt the leaves a bit.

The plant is looking in a sorry state and the cigar leaf is brown. It is currently under a CFL light.

To add a complication, this is a hydro banana so it may be getting too much or too little water at the moment (I suspect too much so will try watering it less).

The room it is in also has a cold floor and so I have just added at fish tank heater at 26C.

Does anyone have any advice?
