Default Identifying a banana from it's fruit?

I have a banana fruit and I'd like to identify the plant it came from. It's short and fat, about 4-5 inches long, about 2 inches wide, and even through fat it has three distinct sides. I'll try to post a photo but the fruit is deteriorating in my fridge and may not show as well as it should.

Can someone give me a list of varieties with short fat fruit, or a web site that has photos of the fruit.
