Default Good Friends & Good FUN!!

HI All!!

Had a wonderful time this past week-end!!!

I thought it was gonna be bad - with brake caliper problems on our diesel Ford.
I had to cancel on my 'movie date' with Janana and meeting up for coffee with Dean W. from here on the Org.

But my luck turned for the better...

Steve(my Hubby) fixed the brakes Friday afternoon & came home with a trailer...I was like...HMMM...what's this???
He fired up & loaded 'Betty' with all the camping gear in it & said, "Let's GO!!"

WOW!!! What a wonderful time we had out in Rockdale!!
Primitive camping, 4-wheeling & trail-riding...I thought it couldn't be any better of a week-end...

As we were loading up, Steve says, "How far to Janan's house? Closer than home?"
I said,"Yes, Under an hour." He said, "Let's GO!"
I WAS SO HAPPY!!!!!

Got to meet up with Janana(my Big Sis!!) this past Sunday...
and she spoiled me ROTTEN!!!

She gave me so many little Bromeliad babies!!!
Here are some pics of her beautiful Broms!!

AND...Some more of her GORGEOUS plants!!
(I ran out of memory card, so I couldn't even really begin to show you how many, MANY plants she has!)
Hibiscus, cannas, roses, agave, cactus & succulents, citrus & so much more!!!

Banana Leaves!:

Look at the size(and COLOR) of that P-stem...

These are just a few pics of the many lovely things I experienced at Jananas!!!
She had the most lively, soft little chickens, a crazy cool little rooster named 'Big Red' & majestic, gentle horses & sassy, sweet kitties!!
The number & type of insects were just crazy out there too! Dragonflies galore!!!
SOO many beautiful banana plants...
The landscaping flowed seamlessly from her full sun areas, to partial sun, her water garden & shady areas - eye appealing, relaxing & well thought out.
She was a most gracious & entertaining hostess to my husband & I also!
She surprised me with some delicious Dragonfruit she'd gotten to share with me, I tried it for the first time!! WOW!!
With the magnificent tour of her home & grounds & hospitality, I don't know what else to say....it was just an amazing time!!

I felt badly because I had come empty-handed, as Steve sprung this surprise visit on me so I was unable gather up the things I have for her, but know - that I will have a fully loaded camera & plenty of goodies to SPOIL her with when we get to visit again!!(I would have put in a picture of Her & I, but STEVE said he saved the pics on my phone & he didn't...)

Thanks for letting me share the wonderful time I had with a GREAT friend, whom I never would have made if it wasn't for the Love of Bananas & this fabulous website... Thank you Bananas.org!!!

Much Love to you also Janana, Thank you for being a wonderful friend!!
~Cheryl
