go what I did, We had a huge old freezer like that and it weighted like 1000 lbs. take a saws-all and cut that big old thing up into pieces so a couple of big boys can handle it--and take it to the scrap yard. I made like 25$ rounding all that scrap metal up and taking it off. Then you'll have plenty of room to store your bananas however you want.
