I think the best temp. for overwintering basjoo is about 45*F. That may be a bit on the cool side, but maybe not. I've tried to overwinter them indoors at around 60*F and they didn't do too well. They actually do better outside in the ground in zone 7. The other Musa that I tried this way did just fine, but not the basjoos. When they have had all their leaves removed you want to keep them very dormant. If you let them get too warm they will try to grow but if they don't have any light then they will perish. Of course, if you can keep them at 90*F with good lighting they will do great indoors in the winter.
