Tony, thanks for sharing! those are some beautiful pics. I have what looks like the very same brugmansia, and this will be its fifth growing season. On Oct 30th I dug up and brought in all my bananas and other tropicals, but I decided to take a chance and leave out just that one particular Brug for two more days since it was so very full of almost opened buds. The local TV weather reports were conflicting about whether would be a light frost on that night or not. With mostly everything else in the garden dug up and in winter storage, this blooming Brug would have been an outstanding attraction, for the annual Halloween parade of children and parents ... but... of course there was a light frost that night!
