Thank you, Raul, you really added new excitement to my anticipation toward my own plant, although my mother plant has not grown at all, since I planted it 2 weeks ago and the baby has only pushed the stem 5 or 6 mm higher. Both look firm and healthy though.

I notice in your picture three little bananas. They look about the same as the ones I have seen in that park in Vietnam and as are also visible in my pictures of them. What got me was that 3 of the 4 plants I saw there where blooming and they did not look like they were transferred just for the bloom from elsewhere. Are they flowering that much? Let us know how long the flowering period of yours last. Maybe it is hermaphrodite and will produce seeds?

I for one am looking forward to hearing more from you.
