I didn't do anything special with my Basjoos in South Jersey. I cut the pstems down to about 6" and piled leaves on top. Then I took the leftover hay from the fall decorations and spread it over the Basjoos. All the stems were mush but new growth is showing already.

I tried overwintering 2 Ensettes under the house crawl space and they didn't make it. Rest of the bananas I brought indoors and used T5 lights. They took over my office and I can't wait to get them outside!
