Default "Cicadas and their piercing cries are coming back after 13 years waiting"

Quote:
"Experts are warning local residents to be on the look out for noisy neighbors. They are being described as being 1 1/2in long, with stout black bodies, long membranous wings and reddish eyes and legs... The peridoical cicadas are expected to make appearence in the northwest part of the state after waiting 13 years beneath the soil... The nymphs or juveniles, live underground near the roots of trees, sipping on plant juices... as many as 20,000 to 40,000 cicadas may emerge under one big tree..."
