Default Haven't been around here for a bit because....

Several people Pm'd me and were wondering where I was so I thought I'd post a bit ...

For the record I just haven't had much banana related things to talk about...( imagine this new thread title.... "my bananas are inside not doing anything at all so I'll post it here!") I just planted my bananas out a few weeks ago and they're only starting to grow well now.
I've been heavily involved in a start up of a new Community garden here and that took up a lot of time this spring when I would have been poking around for banana news. The opening went well and some woman from the local news blog unexpectedly threw a camera in my face at the grand opening. Here's me stammering ,not knowing what to say and a bit under the weather as well.....
What Are Your Thoughts on Morris Plains' New Community Garden? - Morris Township-Morris Plains, NJ Patch

Last week I was on my anual fishing trip so have been away.... the morning I left I saw this at 5 am ... The same news blog had interviewed me about my banana plants from the year before that lots of people were talking about at the opening...... now even more people have been coming around and asking about the bananas. Maybe they'll catch on here....
