Randy,
Ever since I studied Astronomy in 7th grade, I have been interested in it. This site:
http://spaceweather.com/ is a big help if you are new to this, it is updated every day. I finally got a telescope 2 years ago for Christmas and I looked at the sun (on a piece of paper reflection, not actually looked!) and looked at the craters on the moon up-close.
Now that NASA is planning on putting a permanent building on the moon, I cant wait to search for that (in 2010-2020?) I assume that they will be smart enough to put it on the side of the moon that gets the most sun, which I am sure that we could see sometime.
Lunar Eclipses are cool too.
