The orinoco may be more cold hardy, but seems to hate cool summer weather. Maybe the rajapuri is slightly better in that department?
I haven't been able to compare them within the same year, but on the really cool coast last year D.O. grew respectibly. This year raja puri is slow inland(hotter than coast), but we haven't really had a summer, just a long drawn out spring.
It's been a terrible year for growing heat loving bananas, palms, ect, but it has been the best year for me yet for sprouting musa seeds outdoors, especially sikkimensis hybrids. Drops from low 80'sF in the day to mid 50's on most nights.
