They have relatively long, narrow leaves, with long petioles, and the more recently emerged leaves are pretty erect. That matches what I recall your plant looking like. My guess is yours is Manzano with pool-water coloration. (The pup you gave me did eventually lose that black coloration in the stem, as I think yours did, too.)
Yes it is the same plant. The black coloring disappeared a long time ago. I don't think the coloring is from that even the stem of the bunch has that color and the fruit start out green with a hint of red brown and are getting darker as they grow.All the leaves stay erect and are very narrow.Now this plant is not in prime condition it does not have a good root system ever took the cold wet winter very well.I purchased it as a TC 3 years ago from
