Cameron,

I am so sorry to see your plants looking so ragged from the heat. I certainly sympathise. I hate watering in the dry weather.

I had no joy either from my Acers this year as too much sun left them with every leaf burnt. I decided to top cover with winter fleece and the red leaf is coming back.

Thank God our summer has'nt been as hot as yours. I hope your part of the world is soon as dull as dishwater (cloudy) with a monsoon type rainfall.
