Default Attack of the hole diggers - help!!!!!!!

Something has been digging these 6 to 8 inch deep holes in and around the banana mats as well as the lawn. Six to 8" wide at the surface and pointy at the bottom.

First time having this problem so I did some research and talked to locals.

Also found a Texas blogsite that indicated "dillers" were the cause.

Everybody else agreed -- I got armadillos a'diggin!

A Texas professional trapper said set up a one door trap like this..............

The "wings" are for guiding the diller, whose supposed to have poor eyesite, into the trap. Set up has entrance pointed to shallow hole dug out under fence.

Suspended over the paddle is a section of nylon stocking with 1/2 a container of earthworms from local bait shop.

Well---------- no dillers so far - just 3 possums. And the last possum tore down the bag and ate all the worms!!!

What do you think? And please do not tell me these things are bigger than this trap.
