Just make sure there is no fruit left on the bottom after peeling the lower leaves off. If so trim with a knife. I pull enough leaves off so that it makes the nub on the bottom about an inch long, then let it sit on top of the fridge for 2-3 days before potting in a 50/50 mix of perlite and planting compost. I'll post a picture of the crown from the fruit I harvested that's doing very well now!
