Default 'Purple Heart' variety of pomegranate

IMO, this is probably John Chater's best pomegranate variety, at least for warm/hot valley's of California. My crop production was light this year and very late. I finally picked this one today and the taste was great (finally)!

I also picked my first fruits of Chater's 'Rosamia' yesterday. The fruits were somewhat small but pretty good.
