I've spoken with many people at plant sales representing my club. Amazing the things you hear. I bring my banana pups to sell and most of the newbies freak out when told I fert them by the pound, not teaspoonfuls. Many have walked away when they hear what the plants require. Even when I point out our local AG supplier sells fert real cheap.

Real plant people point out what they want and don't quibble about price. They are in the minority.

Then there are those who want suckers for free - and they don't quit trying to knock down the price. I had one whack-job Master Gardener come back to the booth 5 times. At the end of the day I gave him a sucker to make him go away.
