Default Re: Sourcing loquat varieties

By the way, Ken Love of Hawaii sent material of many different varieties to the USDA repository in Davis, CA several years ago. The former curator there was interested in them but it wasn't officially a species in their collection. I saw them at least once during my visits there and I think I was told they were unsure what was going to be done with them. Several of them had fireblight even though I've never seen fireblight on my trees or others in yards, etc. but a friend of mine told me he has had problem with fireblight in loquats.
