I put everything in it, but I don't have any worms, it's just a regular composter. I have so many red wigglers in my soil now that I don't worry about adding worm castings anymore. I just keep adding raw organic stuff to the surface and the worms eat it up! When I was farming worms I used all the kitchen scraps sans any meat or dairy, and added newspaper for bedding. Coffee grinds are good too! It's pretty easy and they eat fast!
