Default Re: Blight Threatens California’s Citrus Trees

Just to make sure everyone knows they have a part in the controls put in place in all citrus growing states. Before you move citrus plant material from one state to another, or even one county to another check and see if they are restrictions and most likely there will be.

If we don't do our part then some day citrus police or banana police will come burn your trees on the spot. It is the hobby grower they have the least control over. The commercial growers I am guessing don't like that one little bit.

As another example, a guy on the apple forum traded scion wood at an exchange fair. He grafted them on his trees and brought in an apple virus that can't be cured.

Banana people need to be careful too.
