Which Bananas Survived the Winter Inside?
I had some bananas that were not in pots but were stored in the basement dormant. All my plants had tags on them. My Mom decided in the spring that the basement needed sweeping, and all of my tags are now in a heap. I planted the unknown, dry corms outside in the spring, and some are now coming up. Maurelli is up and 3+ ft. tall already, but all the rest are just beginning. One is about 2 ft. tall, the rest are just now sprouting. I had almost given up on them. They all have the juvenile reddish blotches, so I can't see what is what. They may be:
Orinoco
Siam Ruby
Zebrina
Mekong Giant
Sikkim Darjeeling
DC
Bordelon
Will wait until they have grown substantially then will post pics in an effort to ID. Thanks.
PS- Same problem with some EE's, but they will be easier to ID on leaf shape, color, etc.
