I have seen photos of it, but never seen a live one. This is one I just picked up at a sale in Central FL, Licuala spinosa. I have over 10 species of Licuala, they are one of my favorite genus' of palm

This is my young Ruffle palm (Aiphanes caryotifolia) growing by the stream in my greenhouse. This palm is heavily armed and I have to be really careful around it (ouch)
