Default Re: Purple heart question

In zone 8 probably it would, but to be sure, why don't you move the pot with a hand truck into an unheated garage or storage shed. Water it real sparingly about once a month and bring it out in the spring. It will survive in my unheated greenhouse here in zone 5, but you have to have it in a building and out of the wind and super cold temps here. either that or cut some starts off of it and bring them inside and then just let us know in the spring! it's pretty cheap to obtain, we always have tons of it here. I'm sure there is more of it there that you can get from a neighbor or nursery in the spring.
