Well I wondered why my Maia 'Upehupehu's cigar leaf was coming out so slowly. Noticed something was busting out 2/3rds of the way up the p-stem. On closer inspection, it was the flower. Did a little surgery and we'll see. There was no way it was going to make it up out of the top of the p-stem. In the ground just over a year.
