Hi Frank, I agree… I’m also thinking that the plant I have it may not be zaifui… twice I’ve had my zaifui at just above flowering size and yet no flower.

I don’t think my plant is in the itinerans group though… the plant I have fits the botanical description for zaifui in so many ways! I also have a small M.chunii that’s very closely related to zaifui and that also looks much like zaifui.

My thoughts are its either… M.zaifui, M. chunii or M.ruiliensis, all three are recent discoveries and closely related.
