Being a fellow SDC grower I especially enjoyed your post. My SDC just passed a year old and spent its first winter indoors. I however have no longer have room indoors this winter for her. I am going to try winter over the mother tree outside in the ground under a mobile green house.
I have given three pups away but have plenty more here that came from. I too will have to start trimming pups as I see them. All but one pup of course in case the mother blooms or dies. I plan to bring one pup indoors ...just in case.
