Default Re: Temps plummet in SE TN!!!!!!

Hang in there guys, it'll get better eventually. Here in the Houston area we have been down to about 34-35 degrees the past two nights but so far all of my bananas seem OK. They don't look too good, but I don't think they have recieved any major damage. Of course, last year they were good until early Feb. when we breifly dropped below 32 for a bit so the worst could be yet to come for us here. However, it is supposed to be back up around 72 by the weekend! Woo-hoo! Unfortunately, it is just that kind of weather that
makes it so easy for tropicals to get damaged this time of year. With the temps all over the place the plants don't know what to do. They could start growing a bit again and then get nailed by a night or two of near freezing temps and really get hurt badly. Such is life on the Gulf Coast!
