Default Re: Temps plummet in SE TN!!!!!!

We hit 34 degrees in Port St Lucie this AM. Brought my 60 or so pups in the house and then noticed the fire ants roaming around. Caught it quick and isolated them to 2 SDC's. Sprayed the buggers on the tiles and put the 2 pups back outside in the porch shelter. Could have been worse - got lucky. Still patrolling for frogs, snakes, gila monsters and bobcats emerging from the foliage - no sign so far. Pups stay inside one more night then back outside. Looks like a jungle in here. Several pots in the 15 gal size and higher.

The big guys in the ground still look OK with only older leaves turning yellow. Got a full load of fruit on the Goldfinger and Dwf Orinoco still "hanging" in there. Hope they make it. Wore jeans and a jacket for the first time in 11 months --- holy cow!
