You can get pups in your climate in a container in your (my) zone.
For me it varies could be as much as a couple of years depending on conditions as the other members stated in their previous posts.
I have seen plants for sale at retailers in 1 gal pots with a pup.....go figure.

Your plants are very prolific and will reward you with plenty of pups just give them some time

One way to get a few more pups is to stress your container plant.
Cramped quarters, uneven watering, heat -cool and cut the stem, root pruning.
If you have a few plants to "experiment with " try a few ways to make them pup.
