You have nothing to loose by potting the corm. I've had some pups rot and come back much later. Right now I have a Raja Puri pup that I left for dead last summer and it's actually growing a small spear leaf! I kept it potted in the GH all winter with no water and just filtered light. Then I had a Grand Nain pup that rotted, died, grew back, rotted again and died for real! lol My $100.00 AE AE pup that I potted, watered once, and left in the GH withered and rotted and never came back either! These Banana plants are strange.
