Is it currently in a pot or in the ground?

If transplanting it into a pot, cut all the leaves off besides the top 2-3. then cut those in half-1/4. This will redirect most the energy for rooting instead of trying to keep the leaves alive. I've potted Veinte Cohols side by side while cutting the leaves on one and not cutting the leaves on the other. Cutting the leaves greatly outperformed to other.
