Default Re: rotting leaf stalks

Stag beer......makes great wallpaper in the man cave..

Many folks do it exactly the same way you're doing it..
And there are plenty of threads to back up your current way of doing it.

The size is ok, mine are just as tall with a few forum members plants are taller yet.

As time passes (another 70 days) the plants will desiccate and look terrible.....but that is the norm..
They will shrivel turn brown and black and just look like my aunt jean.
Mine look pretty bad toward March.

You had said the plants might be Basjoos......then next year leave some in the ground to see if they are hardy in your area..... or switch them all out to real Basjoos.

In your zone you should have no issues growing this plant(basjoos) outdoors year round.

And your labor will be cut to a third as well as the Stag consumption..
