I am seeing a similar problem in my mat with my tallest pstems also around 12' which made it through the winter.

I don't see anything conclusive in the above comments or how the problem finally resolved itself based on the advice given.

If anybody has had a similar problem I would like to hear your experience and whether the action taken helped the situation or not as the case may be.
