Default Re: Spring?

The good measure of Spring coldness is the time that the leaves develop on the trees. I doubt that meteorologists keep records of that, but, I take mental notes. In the Chicago area, trees usually turn green during the last week of April. Right now, tree buds are barely visible and I can't tell whether leaf development will be during the first week of May. If I remember correctly, last year, the trees turned green during the second week of April. If this year it's during the second week of May or later, wow, I don't remember that ever happening before. I'll see and keep you posted.
