Default Japanese Beetle attack

Hi there

Well it looks like this week is the start of Japanese beetle season in Pennsylvania. My canna lilies, paw paw trees, and bananas are under attack.

Surprisingly, the basjoo and velutina are the main targets. My veinte cohol, patupi, bluggoe style plants haven't had any signs of beetle snacking.

So I grabbed my neem oil and have been misting my leaves with a diluted mixture. It seems to have minimized damage.

I am curious what do other people use to stop beetles and also do you notice that the beetles have similar preferences in which banana plants they attack?

Thanks
