Default Re: Musa Basjoo Help please

That is an Old wives tale, if the heat is hot enough for water to scall the plant; then the direct sunlight is hot enough to burn the plant too. .... So if a plant needs water, then it NEEDS water. Water it! When a plant's leaves start drooping this is a indication that it needs water. ... However, a Banana plants will shut down and droop when temps are above 100&deg (more like 110 to 120&deg); even tho it has water.

Several members on this forum has sprinklers and overhead misting system in their nana patch. I just use a spray nozzle on the end of my garden hose. Just spray above the plant (14 ft +) and let the water fall back on the plant like rain. Morning; late morning; mid afternoon; and evening.for misting. ... I've just misted my small nana patch for the second time today and I've had 7" of rain this month.
