In the first year or two of planting in the ground, I remove all the fruit from a tree since 1 fruit is about equal to 4 feet of branch growth. Otherwise, I thin all the fruit on my trees
except citrus to a 4 to 5 inch spacing which results in a harvest at least 200 fruits per tree. Citrus are better at self-regulating themselves.
