Default Bad Luck Heliconia Psittacorum Story

On 6/24/21, I ordered three different varieties of heliconia psittacorum from the following three Ebay sellers:

1. https://www.ebay.com/itm/255017479855
2. https://www.ebay.com/itm/124747044889
3. https://www.ebay.com/itm/294006300239

It is standard practice to ship heliconia rhizomes with the leaves cut off but seller 1. left the leaves on which surprised me. Only the plants from seller 1. are thriving and the plants from seller 2. appear to be dead. Left to right, pairs of pots contain plants from 1., 2., and 3. respectively:

About 30 years ago, I had a fairly large collection of heliconias, including several varieties of psittacorum, growing in my greenhouse but I don't remember the exact circumstances by which I acquired them nor do I remember having difficulty getting psittacorum rhizomes to survive.
