Default Growing Banana plants in zone 5

Hello All,

I live in Maine (Zone 5) & planted 10 plants (Musa Basjoo) last spring.
1. Overwintered 4 in the ground heavily mulched. Temperatures dropped to -15°F with wind chills to -30°F. I uncovered 2 plants yesterday and they look fine!
2. Transplanted 2 into sand and put in a cellar for the winter, avg temp 65°F.
3. Gave the rest of the plants away.
Plan to add Red Tiger & Musa Siukmensis to the garden this year unless someone suggest better plants for me to grow.
