80 Kg of peppers?!? That's a lot of hot pepper jelly.

I haven't ever heard of it being a problem, especially if you are composting it over time and mixing it in with your other compostables. I just emptied all of my jalapeno plants of their peppers, a little shy of 80kg though , and the remnants go into the compost.

I don't know what I don't know, but I have never had a problem nor have I ever heard anyone suggest it's a problem, but then we aren't exactly a mecca here for growing hot peppers.
