Mail Newly planted ice Cream Banana sprouted a pup!

Hello Banana Lovers.

I received a Blue Java banana about 3 weeks ago from Fast Growing Trees. It arrived about 3 feet tall and had 4 leaves. It was potted same day. Up until now, it hasn’t shown any signs of growth like my Grand Naine, Ensete, Dwarf Cavendish, and Bazjoo have. This morning, there were still no signs of growth. This evening it had a pup about an inch long poking out of the dirt. Is this normal for a plant so young to sprout a pup? Daytime temp 70, night 65, Indoor humidity 50-60%, on a heat mat and indirect Northern exposure floor to ceiling windows with LED grow lights. Watered every 2-3 days when moisture gauge shows almost dry. Zone 5b. I’m just curious since most articles say the bananas have to be much older to sprout pups. I am thinking I should keep it as not to weaken the mother since she is still so small. At least for a little while. Any thoughts?
