Default Re: AeAe getting to big

I don't drool over Ae Ae any longer, I just fret. I splurged and bought three last year. They are still all either in my heated lit shop or in my greenhouse, but I may plant one outside soon if I have time to put up a screen for wind protection and shade.

One is doing very well, one is okay, and one required surgery earlier this week! I think I may have over-watered it as the top bent over and died. So I cut off the pseudostem, removed it from the pot, washed off the soil, removed any dead roots (there were still many good-looking roots), soaked it for 3 minutes in a solution of Phytosan 20, let it dry, and then re-planted it in a pot with soil that had been soaked in the same Phytosan 20 solution. Wish me luck!!!
