being from Missouri were they grow pecans on a commercial level particularly in and around the north central parts Blue Diamond has a huge farm in carolton county pecans can be tricky i was aways under the impression that they need some pretty good cold doormat period in order to fruit well
and that they cant take the sun here in the south west what do you think? was just wandering I really miss the Nut trees i had several different types one of my favorites (not to eat) was this huge 100 year old black walnut that grew out on the east side of are property its was nearly 60ft tall we also had pecans and as a side note these really beautiful persimmons also quite large Apx. 40 ft
vary sweet fruit Pear and peaches as well as apples hmm now I'm all missing my home thanks Richard J/K hope you get a pecan that grows for ya but i have to say i cant think of a signal pecan that i know of that grows well in any part of the south west i know this old guy thats really knowledgeable on growing in the south west I'm going to ask him if he knows of a particular variate that mite work well for you
