The issue im having is some of the leafs are starting to get dry and yellow (see pic) Is this too much sun for the newly planted banana? Is it too little water? Are there any signs that i should look for for and keep an eye out for say too little water or too much? any help is awesome.

ps i have another that gets some shade and it is doing better then this one.

Also how can i tell if they are getting enough water any way to tell by the soil?

Thanks

Bud

Welcome Nanabudy, Maurelli Ensete do not like it really hot. The 2 I have were not to happy when we had a week of 100+ degree heat. I would recommnd increasing the water when it gets really hot to help compensate for the heat. By September these will be towering over you and you'll wonder how many other types of bananas you should start growing. If you like them big I would go with a Saba. Well I am getting carried away as you probably will in about a month.
