Hi Paula, I don't have any answers for you, myself being a greenie at growing banans but I just wanted to say your trees are lovely! I can only hope mine looks that good next seaon.

Since y'all are trying to figure out what variety of tree Paula might have, I have a question for ya.

I have a musa basjoo (the tag says) and from looking at some of the pictures I have seen of this tree they look all green. Two of my pups have reddish splotches/patterns on their leaves. Is this the characteristic for young basjoos. Is this normal? or did I get duped and buy another variety that may not survive my winter? Anyone out there know? Thanx for any info on this.
