this is just a thought. Iv noticed with my Ruby which is a vary young plant. that it makes a leaf then sits for a wail before it makes a new one. I'm thinking that with Plants that are variegated they don't have as much chloralfill and have to store up energy before they have enough to make another leaf. Any way thats my theory on the slow leaf production thing!
