Default growing through uk winter

hi all, Im starting to prep the garden for winter at the minute (not that our summers being much better!) normally i have a frame (like a bottomless green house i dig in around my colocasias and alocasias and use a green house heater to keep them growing through winter (incredible plants by the next year!!) but ive never used it on my bananas, if i put one over them aswell and keep the temps up will they continue to grow slowly or will the lower light levels send them dormant?

Thanks,
harry
